Vitalik Buterin created Ethereum in 2014 to overcome Bitcoin's disadvantages and harness the potential of blockchain technology.

Vitalik Buterin, a programmer from Toronto (Canada) was first introduced to Bitcoin and cryptocurrency in 2011 at the age of 17. That same year, the young man co-founded Bitcoin Magazine and wrote many articles explaining his views on the future of cryptocurrencies.

Later, he learned about Mastercoin and some alternative coins based on Bitcoin code. In the process of working on several Bitcoin-related projects, Vitalik Buterin came up with the idea of a more powerful tool than Bitcoin, allowing people to build blockchain applications. This idea is inspired by the shortcomings that he encountered when building applications from Bitcoin. Vitalik believes the potential of blockchain is not limited to financial applications but can also assist people in the supply chain, real estate, etc.

The Ethereum White Paper, released in 2013, records a new open source protocol for creating decentralized applications. Ethereum was officially announced by Vitalik Buterin and co-founders Mihai Alisie, Anthony Di Iorio and Charles Hoskinson on the Bitcointalk forum in 2014. Dr. Gavin Wood - a project companion, soon published the yellow page. Ethereum (Ethereum Yellowpage) consists of the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), a runtime environment for executing all smart contracts online. In addition, Joseph Lubin - a project partner founded ConsenSys - an adventure studio focused on decentralized applications.

The Ethereum Foundation sold 60 million Ether tokens in July 2014. 12 million ETH was created so that the Ethereum Foundation can expand its development and marketing. Frontier was released a year after its launch and was the first release of the Ethereum network. Frontier provides a basic mechanism for users to interact and build applications on the network.

According to Bitcoin Magazine, the network and user community of Ethereum has grown significantly over the years. The Ethereum Business Alliance, which connects the world's largest companies to the Ethereum network, recently announced 86 new partners including Microsoft, Intel and BP. Along with that, many new blockchain projects taking advantage of the Ethereum blockchain have attracted the attention of society and the investment capital of funds.

Understanding the Ethereum Blockchain platform will enable business leaders to timely adjust technology management, research and application methods to keep pace with global trends.

With the aim of equipping knowledge and practical application of Ethereum, Ewiki's online course delivery platform of VnExpress is opening a course on this topic. At the course, students will be provided with in-depth knowledge about Etherum, how to create smart contracts.

The course was conducted by two prestigious lecturers in the community, Cris D. Tran and Mr. Hung is in class. Cris Tran is currently Regional Director of Infinity Blockchain Venture based in Malaysia. And Mr. Hung graduated from Trento University (Italy) in computer science and has decades of experience in IT and software development.
